"My fiancé and I check out handmade ice cream shops wherever we go. Today, was this wonderful place! We try to get a flight if they are available so we can both try a lot of the flavors. He got 5 flavors and I got 5 different flavors. They were ALL delicious. The favorites are TOP *Brown Sugar...OMG, that is amazing and so creamy, it is now my favorite number one of all ice creams. It has the taste of brown butter, caramel, and brown sugar...OH, SO GOOD!!! We both really loved the Zebra one that seemed to have a really good chocolate cake in it, as well. We also would put Chocolate Underpants as a top flavor. I enjoy a good vanilla and this one is really good. And yes, the color-changing spoons are a fun touch. Very good ice cream, try it, I think you will find at least one favorite at this cute little shop!!!"

"I got there a bit after 2p since that was the hours that were posted on the door when I went by earlier. The owner was just arrived and said that they actually were opening at 4p. Still he offered to help me which was great! He offered samples. I tried only 2. I did order a couple of other flavors not because the ones I tried were not good but I already had something in mind. LOVE that they made their own ice cream! I got a scoop of Lubic Strawberry and a mocha… sorry I can’t remember the name. Both are excellent. Each have a balance of flavors. I did not find the texture icy like another reviewer. It was smooth and clean. Of the two, the strawberry was the winner! The shop itself was nice but small. Not much seating to eat there. Location is nice because on the main street of downtown. I wish there was an outdoor seating area especially on a beautiful day like it was today. This was my first time and definitely not my last! I used to live in Hudson but moved away before this place existed. Thank you for opening your shop and making great ice cream! Should have a picture from the outside. "My wife and I stopped here last weekend for a sweet treat and got the Lotus Butter ice cream which was amazing…. All the ice creams are made in house. "What do I love about this place? For starters, Matt, the owner, employed all of our kids. Even our youngest, who had just turned 14 and wanted to work. She got to work along side her sisters! There are several great ice cream shops in town, places we all go to but, there’s no place like this. It’s small, it’s small batch, and after you taste it, you know why you came here and you keep coming back! Because it’s that dam good. My favorite! Urban Goat! You’ve got to try it! Most unique flavors around, hands down."

My husband and I seek out the best ice cream options and we both agree that between all that we’ve tried around the country, Lotus Creamery is hands down the best. They offer generous samples to assist with your decision making. The staff and the owner have all been wonderful every time we’ve stopped. The “Urban Goat” is unexpectedly my favorite. The last time I also tried GMA Bonnie which has Bugles in it. Such a treat as well. Every flavor that I tried was amazing!"

"With so many ice cream shops repping the same ice cream from the same manufacturers, it is really refreshing to see a place making their own ice cream and their own flavor combinations. We had four people in our group who all had different flavors and they were all a big hit. We will definitely be coming back."

"My wife and I spent the day in Stillwater shopping and having dinner. While there we attended Church as well. After mass both decided a little ice cream treat sounded like the perfect way to end the day. I did a quick "ice cream near me" search and Lotus Creamery popped up in the list. After a short but beautiful autumn drive we arrived in Hudson, Wisconsin and quickly found Lotus Creamery. The staff was very friendly. We learned all the selections were hand made ice creams using locally sourced dairy. They let us taste-test before selecting. There were some very unique flavors. I ultimately selected "Scardey Cat" (A seasonal ,Halloween flavor. Black licorice flavored with bits of black licorice) and my wife had the Peanut Butter Cup (?). The Scardey Cat was AMAZING. My wide commented that hers was the creamiest ice cream she has ever had (and I agreed). We sat at one of the tables in the hall just outside the door and saw a steady stream of folks coming in - all being given the same warm and friendly treatment - and all making similar comments about the ice cream as they were leaving. Lotus Creamery is a wonderful addition to the Hudson shops - and if you are looking for a sweet creamy treat as part of your day - LOOK NO FURTHER!!"
